Lauren Strom was born in Minnesota lumberjack country.  She escaped to the Florida Gulf Coast for a BA in Visual Arts from Eckerd College in St. Petersburg.  As fate would have it she fell in love and was pulled her away from the vivid turquoise waves and brilliant sun back to Minnesota where they settled in the Minneapolis Arts District.  After nurturing two year olds in the preschool setting for a few years she plunged head first into an art career spending many  happy years in the Casket Arts Building, where you probably met her.  2016 was a year of intense grief and incredible change that has changed the artist and focused her vision.  Now a divorced mother of two her palate and message are clear.  She is driven by the motto "If you have the power to make someone happy, do it.  The world needs more of that."  Lauren is in love with color and obsessed with finding and capturing joy to make everyone a little happier, a little lighter and a little more content in their own skin.
